The Tudors

If you have ever been in a conversation, when world history came up and you were al a loss, the Tudors on SHOWtime is for you. It is delicate, but somehow rough, intense, and enticing at the same time. The fourth season starts April 11th, and the first three are on showtime on demand, no additional charge for SHO subscribers. It walks you through the life and affairs of King Henry VIII of England, and his quest for a male heir, and proves that he is possibly the most fascinating ruler  of all time. If that doesn't make you want to watch it, we must point our true reason for watching it. In the words of Serena VanDerWoodson "Henry Cavill is a total babe!"

Also... Anne Boleyn is my favourite woman in history. She was brilliant, beautiful, and knew how to make the fact that she was being used benefit herself. It's too bad Henry was such a prude about getting a son though. Poor, poor Anne

yes, according to B. Waldorf, "Anne Boleyn ruled thought only her heart and got her head chopped off, so her daughter Elizabeth made a vow never to marry a man. She married a country." Blair takes this to mean "you can't make people love you, but you can make them fear you." Words to live by.
