Interesting --- but I have to tell you, I can't imagine going without shoes anywhere in New York that's not a nail salon's pedicure chair! (But I do support the mission to clothe/shoe/feed/house those in need)

I had no idea about this action. It's a creative way to help others, really
i saw a story on the toms company and it is pretty interesting how they got started and how they run things. The owner/ceo lives on a houseboat and lives very minimalist which i think is really cool. Toms have really picked up speed and I think it is fantastic!
